A Sacred Sabbath of Lughnasadh

Abundance Celebration

As the wheel of the year turns toward the golden hour of harvest, on August 1st we approach a sacred sabbath of Lughnasadh. It was once known in Lithuania as both the original Mother’s Day and “Beggar’s Day”. This ancient feast celebrates the fruits of nature and honors the quiet wisdom of maturity that follows youth’s bloom.

It is a time to welcome what the Earth has offered so far, and to prepare for the deeper abundance still to come. The sabbath carries the spirit of ripe fields, long shadows, and the hum of life nearing its peak. Beneath its ritual lies a recognition of life’s natural arc. Here youth gives way to ripeness, and ripeness gently leans toward rest. Lughnasadh comes as a symbol of reverence, generosity, also sharing the beauty of letting go.

In this special transition, we find the goddess Idunn. She is a keeper of youth and beauty, the grower of golden apples, and the guardian of vitality. Idunn reigns as the spiritual hostess of this sabbath, reminding us that true beauty is cyclical, grounded, and nourished by nature itself.

Natural and Carefully Crafted

Our natural incense Idunn is carefully composed without charcoal, adhesives, or artificial fragrance. It celebrates the raw beauty and purity of nature.

The blend welcomes you with a touch of amberwood. This warm and softly resinous aroma evokes the strength of sunlit forests and the gentleness of aged bark. Frankincense rises like a sacred breath. Deep, golden, and serene – cleansing the air and mind. A surprising hint of liquorice threads through the smoke. It is sweet and mysterious, like the hidden pulse of youth within age.

Together, these notes create a scent that is both grounding and radiant, embodying Idunn’s youthful power.

Burning incense is a ritual to welcome in the harvest season with grace and presence. Let Idunn’s incense guide you into the sacred stillness of late summer, where beauty matures and gratitude begins.

A sacred sabbath of Lughnasadh is almost here – let the spell begin!
